HomeLoop

Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

HomeLoop is a family organiser. It's built so that your family's information stays with your family. This policy explains what the app uses, where it's kept, and the choices you have.

Who we are

HomeLoop is developed by Nick Skewes in Hong Kong ("we"). You can contact us about privacy at our support email.

Where your family's information is kept

Your family's calendar, chats, jobs, meals, to-dos, member cards and photos are stored in iCloud, using Apple's CloudKit. They live in the iCloud account of the person who set up the family, and are shared only with the people they invite. We don't run a server that stores this information, and we can't see it.

What we don't do

Children

HomeLoop is made for families, including children under 13. Children join only when invited by a parent or guardian in the family, and parents control features like location and the jobs lock. Children's information stays within their family's iCloud, like everyone else's. A parent can contact us at any time with questions about their child's information.

Keeping and deleting information

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your information, or to object to how it's used. This includes rights under the UK and EU GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act and Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Most of your information is in your own iCloud, so you can see and change it in the app. For anything else, contact us at our support email, and we'll reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how HomeLoop handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
